In response to market demand, Transtector Systems has developed the PDS Series, a new line of surge protective devices for the data lines of oil and gas sensors, metering devices and transmitters. Housed in a standard .5-inch stainless steel threaded conduit coupling, the suppressor is designed for pass-through or end-to-end direct wire hook ups.
The PDS Series uses a rugged two-stage hybrid suppression circuit that combines Transtector’s custom silicon diodes with gas tube suppression, making it ideal as a lightning arrester and a low voltage surge suppressor. Using Transtector’s specialized silicon also enables the PDS Series to provide the lowest data impedance while still offering the highest surge protection available. The PDS Series is compatible with all models of DP field transmitters and 4-20mA measurement or process control instruments.
